New Student Pre-registration will take place at 9am in the Upper Fellowship Hall.  Numbers will be placed outside the door of the second parking lot on the left off Forest Road at 8am.  Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There is a non-refundable registration fee of $150 ($200 family maximum) due at time of registration.  THis secures your spot and provides supplies for the school year.

Please bring your registration form (downloadable from our website) and your registration fee at time of enrollment.

Preschool - Program Overview

Green Acres Baptist Church Weekday Preschool is an extension of the ministry of Green Acres Baptist Church into the community.  Green Acres Baptist Church was established in 1958 and the Nursery School began in 1969.  Our purpose is to provide opportunities for children to grow mentally, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually.  Our goal is to provide a safe, secure, and loving Christian environment to educate children and support families in the important task of child rearing.

It is our goal to provide your child with a quality Christian experience that will meet his/her individual needs.  We consider it a privilege to be a part in your child’s development.  We recognize our role in serving both out children and their families in ways that will honor God.

The staff strives to teach to teach the values of the Christian faith to children through guided conversation, spontaneous teachable moments, Bible stories and songs.  The teacher pray with the children and model Christian attitudes and outlooks in their classroom activities.

Curriculum

We view learning as an interactive process and believe that children acquire knowledge through active exploration.  We also believe in incorporating a spirit of cooperation as well as developing a positive attitude toward education.  We use both the Wee Learn and Bright Beginnings Curriculums as a guide for our teachers.  They are Bible based programs that will supplement the themes that are taught.  They provide very simple and easy to understand Bible stories, thoughts and songs to incorporate in all areas of the preschool experience.

School Hours

Preschool hours are from 9:00am until 12:00 pm for all children.  We ask that children do not arrive before 9:00.  The teachers are setting up their rooms and preparing for the day at this time.  Both doors on the side and in the driveway will be opened at 9:00 and teachers are there to assist with drop-off.  Arrival and dismissal procedures are discussed in the parent handbook.

Lunch Bunch

We offer an optional lunch bunch program from 12:00-1:00 for an additional $4.00/day.  The program is offered for our 3 and 4 year old classes and will be joined by our 2 year old classes in December.  We ask that you provide your child a lunch (with a drink) in a labeled lunch box.

Special Events

We have many activities planned throughout the year.  We will have monthly theme related school-wide activities such as Farm Day, Circus Day, Community Helper month and picnic in the park.  We celebrate events and holidays with our families  like at Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day Brunch and Daddy Date Night.

A very special time for our 4 year old class is graduation in May.  Parents, teachers and children are so proud of their accomplishments and this is a special time to honor our preschool graduates.
