What Denomination is Green Acres?
Green Acres is associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We support the Southern Baptist Convention in it's national organization, and we also support locally the Sarepta Baptist Association. We are a Christian people. We value our rich Baptist heritage and believe it to be a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the only redemption for the world.

Who Can Go To Green Acres Church?
We welcome ANYONE, from ANY walk of life and in ANY stage of life to join our community.

Where is Green Acres Church?
We are located in Athens, Georgia. From the Athens Loop, take the College Station Exit, (Same exit as UGA). Go south on College Station, (away from UGA), until it dead ends into Barnett Shoals Rd. Take a left on Barnett Shoals, and Green Acres is almost immediately on your right.

When Can I Come To Your Church?
We welcome you anytime the doors are open. We would love to meet you and show you around. Our Sunday morning service beings at 11:00. We have so many things to offer and we are sure there is something for you!

How Do I Dress To Come To Church?
There is no "dress code" at Green Acres. Everyone has their own style, so you will notice everything from slacks and ties to jeans and t-shirts.

Do you have anything for children?
Green Acres understands the value of the entire family growing together. Your local church should involve your children in age-appropriate activities. Our children's leaders are waiting to laugh, play, sing, dance their way into your child's heart. Each week we begin your child's Sunday experience with Sunday School at 9:45 am. Our 11:00 am worship service begins with some form of musical worship. At the end of that time we dismiss all of our children to 'kids church' where they will have a great time while their parents enjoy the service with other adults. We look forward to meeting your entire family and having the opportunity to get to know your child! A well-staffed nursery is provided free of charge during all Sunday services for children birth-4 yrs.

What if I'm a college student?
Green Acres offers college students their own Sunday School class each Sunday morning at 9:45. On Sunday nights they also have their own worship service called The Point. Come see what they are all about on Sunday night at 8:00. You can also check them out online at www.thepointathens.com.
